What to Expect

Often the first question someone will ask before visiting a new church is what can I expect. Here at Wooster Foursquare Church, you can expect a warm welcome and cup of coffee to start with, Stop by our cafe and grab a cup!
  • Your children are welcome too! We have a children’s program for kids up to 5 years old. We screen all our volunteers so you can be sure your children are safe and well cared fun as they learn.
  • We don’t have a dress code, so come as you are. You may see some people dressed in suit and tie while others may have on shorts and t-shirt. We want everyone to feel comfortable here.
  • Our worship lively, sometimes we raise our hands or you may see someone waving a flag or banner, its all part of how we worship when we sing.
  • As our guest you are not expected to give financially during our offering time, you are certainly welcome but please do not feel obligated to give. Financial giving is another way we worship. We believe in giving tithes, 10% of our income, and offerings. This is being obedient to what the Bible says in the Old and New Testaments.
  • Pastor Darin is our primary teaching pastor but others will speak from time to time.
It is our hope and prayer that you and your family feel safe and welcome at Wooster Foursquare Church, if you have any further questions or concerns please email pastordarin@woo4sq.com

Darin & Lisa Stambaugh Pastor the Wooster Foursquare Church. Pastors Darin & Lisa love people!

Darin and Lisa have a son, Curt, and a daughter, Madelyn. Pastor Darin has a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio Christian University and Pastor Lisa has her Associates Degree from OCU as well. Married in 1996, Darin and Lisa are in their 19th year of ministry together, starting with a term as missionaries to Papua New Guinea, then continuing with pastorates in Ewington, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; Newark, Ohio; and Lucas, Ohio before coming to Wooster.

Pastor Darin enjoys being a pastor because it allows him to interact with people on a regular basis. He also enjoys teaching. Being able to combine interacting with others and teaching in one job is a perfect fit! He loves his wife and kids and is an avid reader. A fun fact about Darin: he can count to ten by fives.

Pastor Darin serves as Chaplain of the Wooster Township Fire Department and he serves the Foursquare Movement as the Divisional Superintendent for the Central Ohio Division of the Foursquare Churches.

Pastor Lisa says that Jeremiah 29:11 is her favorite verse “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Matthew 26:39 is Pastor Darin’s favorite verse. “And He went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed…” Jesus always goes a little farther!
